A Bus to the White House?

June 1, 2011

If you have been listening to Gov. Palin these past several months, she consistently answers the question whether she is running for President with the response that she does not know yet.  Some speculate that her current One Nation bus tour is a stealth campaign effort.  Call it what you want.  I prefer to call it after the Boy Scout motto “Be Prepared.”  If you have been listening to her, you also know that she will base her ultimate decision on whether she believes there is significant segment of the citizenry who would support her.  So her bus tour accomplishes two things:  First and foremost, shining a bright light on what American needs most righ now, namely, fiscal and social conservatism consistent with our Constitution, and second, a trip to reach out to the electorate.   Here is one report on her meeting with one union activist and the overall favorable impression that the Governor gave the activist.  http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/post/sarah-palin-and-donald-trump-share-pizza-in-times-square/2011/05/31/AG3pBnFH_blog.html?wprss=the-fix.

So if you think like I do that she will resonate with the good folks of the original Colonies, then Mr. President you need to be prepared and any number of feel good trips across the ocean isn’t going to cut it.

Where are your brains people, in Rush Dumbaugh or Sean Insanity’s desk drawer? She is the resigned former govenor, to chase a fatter cash cow. Are you serious? If you think the country would be in good hands with Sarah Palin, then we have much bigger problems, like living in reality!

    Dear RS,

My view is the resigned theme is nothing new and should the Governor win the GOP nomination will have little play in the election. For my part, I cannot settle for the reality of our fiscal condition. I cannot settle for the reality of our moral condition. To live in that reality is to settle for a future of US mediocrity, and those two words just damn well don’t fit together. I’m sure the Founders got a similar line from their Colonial loyal friends: “But my dear Franklin, surely you know the Crown is the most powerful institution on earth and it is folly to opppose her?” I am glad BF and all the others didn’t listen and struggled for their dream of freedom.
