Reflections on Why We Need to Be Shamelessly Proud of America

In a word, she is our mother.  In a few more words, she is the expression and in many ways the attainment of the highest aspirations of man:  Freedom, family, security, wealth, unparalleled human accomplishments in politics, science, art, medicine, education, technology,  sports, entrepreneurship, protector of the weak, defender of the oppressed — this is who we are.  This is the greatest nation on the earth.

No doubt other countries are excellent in their ways, but if we are not going to be shamelessly proud of our country, no one will.  And it is important, so important that we are for without the light and hope of freedom we bring, without the incredible innovative powers of our people, without our tireless generosity,  without the promise of religious and political freedom which we offer to the entire world and which is captured in that golden torch on Ellis Island —  all the world suffers.

Our Governor is unapologetically proud of who we are and who we have been. And we stand with Sarah Louise Heath Palin, descendant of the Pilgrims, in her unwavering voice for America here and abroad.

I agree. That’s why I blogged about Sarah Palin’s recent trip to China where she badmouthed pretty much every aspect of our country. She complained about liberals to communists! She badmouthed the Bush administration for its goal of an “ownership society.” She correctly criticized our government for loosening lending standards (which occurred through deregulation) but then blamed it on too much government. She blames the Fed for the collapse of our economy. She badmouthed our government for its deficit spending and then praised Reaganomics. Reagan was the king of deficit spending! Reagan claimed that deficits don’t matter!

Unbelievable. If Sarah Palin wants to pal around with communists and badmouth our country, maybe she should just stay in China. We don’t need you here Sarah Palin!

Enough is enough. Sarah Palin is a hypocritical moron. Is she so stupid or dare we say, insane that she does not realize that people have electronic recording devices in this day and age?

Does she not remember way back during her failed presidential campaign when she commented about Barack Obama apologizing and/or making negative comments about the United States while he was traveling in Europe? Remember all that talk about how it was OK to criticize this nation’s administration while on home soil but never while abroad. Was she spoon-fed those lines because apparently she has forgotten them now.

This week while delivering a ghostwritten speech in Hong Kong, the feeble-minded Palin decided to criticize the Obama administration’s policies while on communist soil. We can understand how the educationally challenged Palin may have misunderstood the meaning of China’s Red State status, but shouldn’t one of her many babysitters (oops, I mean handlers) have pointed out the difference between China and Utah? Then again, it wouldn’t surprise us at all if Palin chose to surround herself with a staff that is as brain-dead as she is.

As we understand it, Sarah Palin the erstwhile patriot referred to Barack Obama’s intended domestic policies as “nebulous and utopian sounding.” Way to stick up for your nation you conehead. She want on to say that Obama’s policies help only large corporations while, “Of course the little guys are left out then. We’re left holding the bag, all the moms and pops all over America.” Way to support your government you treasonous idiot.
