Tally-Ho! The Governor Begins Her National Dialogue
The Governor has given the country a taste of her future as Citizen Palin: a direct hit on the cap and trade nonsense of the Administration. She penned an op-ed piece in today’s Washington Post. What the Governor shows is that part of being a good leader is knowing when do to a good thing. Protecting our earth and becoming energy independent are good things. Inviting gargantuan debt and increasing consumer prices in a crippled economy to attain those goals is not a good thing. A leader must inspire indeed, but the President’s form of inspiration is more like a flogging.
Foxnews.com has reported here http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2009/07/14/palin-calls-obama-energy-plan-threat-economy/ on the Governor’s op-ed piece. They included a few excerpts. Here is a one of the Governor’s most apt remarks in the Post piece:
We are ripe for economic growth and energy independence if we responsibly tap the resources that God created right underfoot on American soil. Just as important, we have more desire and ability to protect the environment than any foreign nation from which we purchase energy today.
All of this is very true. What’s more is that America is and will continue to be a leader in protecting the enviroment so long as the cylops of the Federal government doesn’t eat all our sheep.
