Our Gracious Governor
Word of Governor Palin’s acceptance of the feebly Letterman’s apology reached us yesterday. The Governor is gracious and dignified. She leads as much or more by example than by word. And what do we really want in an executive? A talker who can talk his way out of Gitmo or a doer who sticks to her words and her principles? A smooth operator with alluring Hawaiian smile to the public and Chicagoan grin behind closed doors or a forthright woman whose wrestled with the corruption of big oil and staunchly lives what she preaches?
As for Letterman, the Knights would have preferred his apology was more robust and not a quarter at a time as some artful Newyorker put it, but we are happy with his humiliation and consider him nothing more than a dead letter or the vanishing morning fog.
